Last year I got the opportunity to photograph the annual Make A Wish awards dinner. I was so happy they called me back for this year. It was really touching to be included in helping with this wonderful organization. There were so many amazing stories that were told and the kids and families I met are incredible, inspiring individuals. For example, Yali. She's had cancer twice and has had 7 years cancer free. Her wish was to make a handbag with Kate Spade. A limited edition was made and Yali decided to donate the money back to Make A Wish.
We had a visit from Darth Vader and storm troopers.
George Lopez was also honored for his work with Make A Wish. You know how you wonder if comedians are really that funny, he IS. So funny! He made an incredible pledge for this next year. For every show he does (and he does over 50+ a year) he will donate $5,000 to Make a Wish. Be sure and buy some tickets and write his manager that he needsto work MORE! After the night was over, he was still kind enough to take a picture with me. I know it's blurry, but I didn't take it, so that's okay.
